




Fight Obesity with NUTS?

According to a study in May 2009, evidence suggest that nuts have more health benefits other than reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Evidence reveal that nuts may reduce risk of diabetes mellitus among women. More studies need to be done for men. Also, anti-carcinogenic effects appeared in women. Frequent nut consumption provided protection against gallstone diseases in both sexes. As far as obesity, long tern consumption is linked with lower body weight and a lower risk of obesity and weight gain.
Nuts have a unique composition. These favorable foods are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and bioflavonoids. Compounds such as vegetable protein, fiber, minerals, tocopherols, and phenolic compounds all work together to provide optimal benefits. Compact but full of nutrition.
Add these to your cooking and baking to increase texture, taste and nutrition.
